Naomi Ruiz Coffaf

Hello! My name is Naomi Ruiz Coffat, and I'm currently completing my internship at Helping Moon Counseling as part of my graduate studies in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Barry University. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2021.

I was born in Cuba and spent the first ten years of my life there, which shaped my passion for providing culturally responsive and inclusive care.

I'm bilingual (English/Spanish) and have experience working in behavioral health, including crisis lines, case management, and advocacy. I'm especially passionate about supporting the LGBTQ+ and immigrant communities, and working with trauma and identity development.

My clinical approach is grounded in Psychodynamic and Existential theories, and I believe therapy is a collaborative space where healing begins through curiosity, self-awareness, and connection. Can't wait to start my journey with Helping Moon Counseling!
