Lynn Steinhart, LMHC
My name is Lynn Steinhart, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Certified Addiction Counselor, dedicated to transforming lives through compassionate and ethical care. I bring over a decade of experience to the field, with a holistic and empathetic approach rooted in authenticity and reliability. My passion for mental health and addiction recovery has driven me to master multiple therapeutic interventions, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and I am currently completing training in NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM). I will be completing coursework in Grief and Anxiety. I have plans to complete EMDR training.
My professional journey began with my role as a Group Facilitator from 2015 to 2018.. Here, I facilitated a variety of psychoeducational and process groups, laying the groundwork for my deep commitment to client-centered care. During this time, I also counseled young females struggling with eating disorders and substance abuse. My focus on building self-esteem, emotional regulation, and relapse prevention helped many clients regain control of their lives.
In 2018, I joined a Detox and Residential facility as an Addictions and Mental Health Therapist. Over the next four years, I worked with individual clients and their families. I continued my journey as a Primary Therapist for high acuity patients with severe mental health and complex trauma.
Additionally, I have embraced the digital evolution of therapy by working as a remote therapist. This remote counseling role has broadened my reach, allowing me to support clients with anxiety, depression, panic disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and substance use across various regions.
Outside of traditional therapy settings, I am the Owner and Manager of Mercury Farms and have incorporated Equine Therapy in the past. This role has allowed me to develop leadership skills and a strong work ethic, as well as using a horse herd as teachers to people struggling with substance use, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, other mood disorders, relationship struggles. Equine therapy helps people grow emotionally, physically and mentally. Equine therapy improves communication skills, builds trust, helps to regulate emotions, helps with stress reduction, fears and PTSD.
My academic foundation includes a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University, completed in 2021, and a Bachelor of Science in Deaf Education and Elementary Education from Eastern Michigan University.
Throughout my career, I have remained dedicated to ethical, effective, and compassionate care, driven by a relentless commitment to my clients’ well-being and personal growth. I take an eclectic, client centered approach, meeting the clients personal needs and desires. I have been on the path of my own personal journey, experiencing substance abuse, life changes, children and aging. My journey continues as I strive to bring hope, healing, and resilience to those in need.
