Mia Paolini, RCSWI

Hi, I’m Mia (she/her). I’m a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern, dedicated to helping adults of all ages, across all cultures navigate life’s challenges with greater self understanding and compassion. I have experience working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and am deeply committed to providing compassionate, gender-affirming care in today’s complex and often challenging climate.  My background in both education and clinical practice allows me to approach therapy with empathy, patience, and a deep respect for each person’s learning and growth process. I am currently completing certification as a Group Facilitator, expanding my ability to support clients through collaborative, group healing spaces. My therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, relational, and integrative—drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, mindfulness, parts work and somatic practices to meet each client’s unique needs. While holding on to the understanding how mental health, physical health, and social factors intersect for a holistic approach to healing.  I specialize in supporting clients coping with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, as well as identity exploration. I strive to create a therapeutic space where clients can feel seen, supported, and safe to explore their lives without judgment. My work is grounded in cultural humility and advocacy, honoring the resilience and authenticity of each person while supporting them through the unique stressors that can accompany living authentically in a world that may not always feel accepting. If you choose to work with me, in our work together, I aim to help you reconnect with your resilience, deepen your sense of self, and move toward a life that feels grounded, meaningful, and whole.
