Wendy Lemons
Hi! I'm Wendy Lemons, a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Student Intern at Helping Moon Counseling. I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University and earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University.
My counseling approach is rooted in person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and solution-focused techniques. I strive to create a warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered.
My work as a TMS technician, supporting individuals experiencing anxiety and depression, gave me the opportunity to truly listen to people's experiences and recognize the strength it takes to keep moving forward. My experience shaped my passion for supporting emotional well-being and personal growth.
In my previous role as a Registered Behavioral Therapist for children and adolescents I developed skills in teaching daily living and social skills, as well as partnering with families to build confidence and connection. This experience strengthened my ability to meet people where they are and support growth at an individual pace.
I aim to be present, supportive, and nonjudgmental. I want clients to feel seen, heard, and understood, while also helping them build insight and develop tools they can carry into their everyday lives.
