  • Karen Lucchesi, LMHC

My name is Karen Lucchesi and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 25 years experience providing therapeutic and case management services to children, teens, adults, and families in Palm Beach County.  I have worked in community mental health agencies, schools, pediatrics, and adult integrated healthcare. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Alabama and a Master of Science from NovaSoutheastern University.

I bring to Helping Moon expertise in a variety of areas including but not limited to anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive behaviors, grief/loss, trauma, anger management, parenting skills, and coping with major life changes. I use an integrated, client-centered approach that is highly individualized based on each client’s needs.  Treatment modalities include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution focused therapy, psycho-education, motivational interviewing, and crisis intervention.

My goal as a psychotherapist is to facilitate positive change in clients seeking better emotional and social functioning to improve their feelings of satisfaction and the overall quality of their lives. The most rewarding part of being a therapist is knowing that I’ve had a part in affecting the life of another human being. Giving hope when people feel hopeless. Empowering people to embrace change and to leave their comfort zone to discover something new. Inspiring others to be all that they are capable of being and to realize one’s own potential.

A healthy mind can reward you with peace, joy, happiness, clarity, motivation, purpose, balance, love, etc.  The possibilities are endless.
