Jessica Jalali

Hi! My name is Jessica and I am a Master’s student at Nova Southeastern University in their Clinical Mental Health Counseling program. I have a BA in psychology from University of South Florida and graduated in 2020. I am a native Floridian and a lifelong resident of Tampa.

I have had a lifelong interest in psychology and human behavior, so I always knew I wanted to work in the mental health field. Counseling seemed like the perfect fit for me since I have always been interested in people and I love to listen. Everyone deserves to feel seen and heard, which I aim to provide as a counselor intern and in my future career as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I am excited and honored to work with Helping Moon Counseling!

A favorite quote of mine is from David Lynch that states, “We think we understand the rules when we become adults but what we really experienced is a narrowing of the imagination.” Another quote that I find to be helpful for me in my own life is the Geshe Kelsang Gyatso quote, “Without inner peace, outer peace is impossible.”
